Candidates will be able to identify the key features of derivatives, understand its evolution, and note the similarities and differences among the various types of derivatives, including forward- and option-based and exchange-traded and OTC derivatives.
Understand the structural foundations and the various supply and demand factors affecting markets that underlie the most significant international derivatives contracts. Some of the markets examined include crude oil, natural gas, gold, agricultural commodities, interest rates and foreign exchange.
This module provides advanced coverage of the unique aspects of pricing of both forward and option-based derivatives. In addition, the module covers the unique pricing features of each of the various financial, energy, metal and agricultural derivatives.
This module provides advanced coverage of interest rate, currency, equity and commodity swaps, forward rate agreements, and OTC options such as caps, floors and collars. It helps understand how these instruments are structured, traded, priced and used.
The module explains how options are priced and how they are used to create bull and bear spreads. In addition, you will learn about volatility, income, and hedging strategies, and about how technical analysis can be used as a tool for both options and futures trading.
This module explains how derivative instruments are used to mitigate interest rate, currency, equity, energy, metal, and agricultural price risk faced by organisations involved in these underlying markets. It covers option- and forward-based derivatives and exchange-traded and OTC derivatives. The module concludes by describing the benefits and risks of this increasingly common use of derivatives to investors.
